Would you like to help towards the cost of running the Centre?
God has provided sufficient funds to equip and run the Centre thus far and we are confident He will continue to provide but the more funds there are, the more that can be achieved!
£ 10 a month would go a long way to helping with the running costs of the Centre and providing meals etc. If that money was “gift aided” it would add another £144 a year available for the work

We are providing between 150-200 three course meals a week; for many people it is the only time they eat meat. We serve the families at the tables and endeavour to give them dignity and respect which cannot be given at the town Soup Kitchen where they have to queue for a bucket of soup. Ana is a lovely Romanian lady who cooks the meals and she is helped by Ami who also helps with the cleaning of the Centre.
We have our own water supply pumped into the Centre and currently provide 60 -70 showers a week – the water supply is very limited in the town and many have no opportunity to wash or shower at all. We also help with washing clothes in the machine for families who simply have no water or facilities to wash clothes and carpets!
We have a wonderful playground which was paid for through fund raising by a group of young people from the UK and built by them in August 2002. It is used during the summer months by the local schools and kindergartens as part of their programme and at other times is open for general use. As it is the only one in the area, it is extremely popular and we have the opportunity to talk and play with the children and get to know them better. We also have toys for them to play with – older children enjoy toys intended for those younger than them as many have not had the opportunity to play with toys before. They all know how to kick a football though!
We also have a youth group of 30 – 40 meeting regularly at weekends – there was nowhere for them to meet before the Centre was built.
During Autumn 2003 we started a Distress Fund to help with expenses such as electric and gas bills, medical bills, wood and school fees which families cannot pay where there is no income. We also realised that for some of the families that come weekly for meals it is the only “proper” meal they eat so we make up bags of basic items such as pasta, rice, tomato paste, oil etc. for distribution. Also toiletry items such as soap, shampoo and toothpaste and also vitamins which most cannot afford.
We visit many families in their homes on a regular basis to give practical help where we can and as many are now also friends, to give spiritual support as well.
